CloudsCreditRepair™ FAQ

What is an authorized user?

An authorized user is someone added to another person's credit card account who can use the card but is not legally responsible for the balance.

Explanation

When a card reports authorized-user activity to the bureaus, the entire account history can appear on the authorized user's report — useful for building or rehabilitating credit.

Not all issuers report authorized-user data, and some scoring models discount these tradelines if the relationship looks unrelated to the primary holder.

Examples
  • A parent adding a teenager
  • A spouse adding their partner
  • A business owner adding an employee
